This role falls into scope under the Certification Regime and requires the individual to be internally ‘Certified’ as a significant harm function.
Continue to develop and support a cross-markets client plan to ensure effective collaboration across the bank in an effort to support the Bank’s initiative to capitalize on products per client.
Leverage existing relationships with the Corporate Banking team to uncover and on-board corporate accounts to further develop sources of NSFR friendly cash. Promote secured financing solutions in Europe to our US & Canadian corporate clients, focus should be paid to the Canadian pension plans where European cross-sell is weak.
Continual optimization of Global Banking & Markets secured funding requirements using a variety of transactions including repo, collateral swaps, TRS and securities financing transactions (SFT).
Negotiate and execute under GMSLA to optimize balance sheet and manage resources as appropriate. Similarly use sec lenders to source short collateral & specials, access cash in triparty to fund the divisions fixed income and equity positions.
Position management & transaction booking using a variety of platforms including ION, Anvil, Loan One/ Global One, Equilend and others.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Trade within defined trading limits and counterparty credit risk limits.
Fully familiar with the everyday trading practices of the CMF London desk.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Code of Conduct.
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Champions a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
Accountable for developing and maintaining client relationships, daily transactions and booking with objective of introducing new liquidity providers to the region. Liaise with Corporate Bank and other GBM business units to establish cross sell opportunities and develop multi product offering.
Effective communication and commentary within team of client interests and market observations.
Identify and execute transactions that enhance and optimize balance sheet.Experience/Education
Good experience transacting in a repo or securities lending role.
Strong Excel skills advantageous.
In depth understanding of fixed income and equity markets and their settlement processes.
Knowledge of tri party using BONY, JPM and Euroclear.
Full understanding of CMF product and trading limits.
