Responsible for completion of high-quality credit presentations, starting to identify lending and cross-sell opportunities, and understanding loan structures and documentation
Demonstrates solid knowledge of products with a credit risk component through effective analysis and beginning to identify opportunities
Assists in management of portfolio of accounts including completion of annual credit reviews, monitoring of loan compliance and industry/client trends, all with a consistently high level of attention to detail
Develops relationships with colleagues in GRM and other product areas; partners well with these areas when working on a transaction
Coordinate with various product groups within Corporate & Investment Banking, GBP and Capital Markets product partners, as well as throughout various geographies, given the global nature of our clients
Works closely with Investment Banking and other sector teams within Corporate Banking to support debt advisory by providing structuring of complex/bespoke capital structure / financing solutions, and supporting the teams in developing a pipeline driven by Sponsor clients
Demonstrates ability to effectively manage multiple transactions and priorities at any given time, proactively managing workflow and delivering high quality work from each coverage / deal team
Ability to effectively run with a transaction from writing the credit presentation, interactions with GRM and with GWO to manage funding, with minimal direction required
Understands our Bank strategy by following investor relations quarterly reporting, CEO updates and other enterprise communications; applies context to work output
Proactively takes accountability for own development through deliberate steps to improve technical and leadership skills and strategically seeking out diverse experiences
With overview from the D/MD, assists in managing a portfolio of clients in Specialized Finance
Participates in marketing efforts with D/MDs including delivery of marketing pitches
Assist the Execution team on an ad-hoc basis when they request additional execution resources
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Client Coverage & Execution
Knowledge of all lending products and credit processes to facilitate prompt execution of transactions
Knowledge of non-lending products (i.e. IB, DCM, DPG, FX, GTB, Commodities, Other)
Working knowledge of legal documentation requirements, industry trends, and credit presentations
Maintains a professional approach in any client interaction
Demonstrates solid financial accounting knowledge
Ensures credit presentations follow Bank standards, are accurate, concise and complete as well as the adjudication process is effectively managed
Provides concise rationale supporting actions and recommendations
Conducts thorough due diligence

Strong time management skills and driven to achieve timeline and goals
Process transactions in a timely manner with limited to no oversight required
Strong analytical skills, and aids in driving holistic client coverage and total revenue growth

University Degree, CFA or CA designation encouraged but not required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Previous corporate banking or credit analysis experience
Previous experience with leverage finance and infrastructure deals
Strong accounting knowledge and financial modelling skills
Advanced Microsoft Suite skills (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
