Contributes to the overall success of the Settlements & Clearing and Middle Office functions that form part of Global Wholesale Operations (GWO) in London, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Develop a good understanding of the full trade lifecycle through 3 programme rotations. Use this knowledge to learn, perform, review and improve key processes across GWO.
Work with key individuals to help create / improve Management Information packs.
Deliver an end of programme trade lifecycle presentation to senior leaders.
Assist the Controls team in conducting process control spot checks across the various functions.
Partner with functional areas within GWO to provide control and oversight of day to day activities, using tools such as governance meetings and break / exception monitoring.
Production of intersystem and internal vs external systems of record.
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Code of Conduct.

Ability to learn quickly through an organized methodical approach
A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
