Purpose

The Senior Manager is responsible for providing expert thematic review support to FCC UK by performing reviews focused on key controls based on established guidelines and approved methodology. The Senior Manager is also responsible for successfully producing thematic review procedures, complying with minimum regulatory standards, ensuring local and Enterprise-wide Policies, as well as UK regulatory requirements, are understood and met within the UK.

The Senior Manager will also be responsible for building out an Assurance & Testing framework across the FCC UK program.

Furthermore, the Senior Manager will oversee the UK’s FCC framework as it pertains to Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABAC), providing regular reports and communication on the state of ABAC compliance to the UK MLRO and other relevant stakeholders.




Accountabilities

Build out and maintain an Assurance & Testing framework across all FCC Europe segments.

Lead the execution and maintenance of a robust FCC UK thematic review program, including schedules and reporting.

Provide regular reports and communication on the state of FCC UK’s ABAC compliance to the UK MLRO.

Develop responses and plans to remediate issues raised by relevant audits and examinations.

Develop close working relationships with local and global partners.

Be proactive in taking appropriate and swift action in developing or amending existing policies, procedures, practices, training, and other controls in response to changing regulatory requirements.

Policies and Procedures

Lead the maintenance of GBM Europe FinCrime policies and procedures relating to assigned FCC UK segments.

ABAC

Lead investigations of identified ABAC issues.

Lead advisories to Business Lines in the UK on the implementation of the Bank’s ABAC policies.

Thematic Reviews

Oversee FCC UK’s framework to assess compliance with relevant rules, regulations and internal policies.

Proactively identify actual and potential violations of regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures or other risk situations at an early stage.

Review reports of the results of progress against the program’s yearly plan; and monitor results and associated corrective actions, making recommendations to management on control gaps, as needed.

Implement testing methodologies to analyse GBM UK data and identify areas for improvement, making recommendations to the UK MLRO and/or relevant management.

Make recommendations and suggestions to relevant management on corrective or remedial measures to be taken and follow-up.

Conduct appropriate inquiries and investigations to ensure that appropriate corrective actions and/or risk mitigation actions are implemented in a timely manner.

Other Reviews

Conduct peer-to-peer reviews when required.

Reporting

Prepare and maintain thematic review records, reporting and escalating where necessary.

Oversee the preparation and maintenance of ABAC logs/records.

Projects

Lead the FCC UK implementation of any technology or business projects relating to ABAC and provide any necessary supporting advice.

Training

Lead the delivery of a comprehensive classroom-based ABAC training program.

Provide ad-hoc and refresher ABAC training as required.

Prepare materials for CBTs relating to ABAC.

General

Liaising with internal and external Audit.

Assist the MD, GBM Head of FCC Europe and senior Business Line management with ad-hoc tasks and projects.

Education/Experience

Proven FinCrime experience (including strong experience gained within the EU operations of a global financial institution).

Knowledge of FinCrime regulatory requirements and expectations.

Strong communication, analytical, organisational and planning skills.

Strategic thinking and strategic influencing skills.

ACAMS, ICA or equivalent certification preferred.
